Privat Guided Safaris with Trevor CarnabyFrom an early age, my family and I spent an annual vacation in the Kruger National Park of South Africa where my passion for wildlife was fuelled and developed. I was fascinated by the intricacies and wonders of nature and my thirst for knowledge and understanding resulted in the acquisition of a considerable library of related literature (field guides and scientific journals) and a dedication to self-study that continues to this day.

Guiding experience and background

My career as a field guide started in 1993, when I began working as a junior guide in Pilanesberg National Park, South Africa. Here, over a period of three years, I gained extensive experience in trail guiding with dangerous game and became involved with the training of new guides.

Privat Guided Safaris with Craig CarnabyI have enjoyed living in the South African bush for the last 15 years. I now work as a Private Guide, leading safaris throughout the region.

Guiding experience and background

I started my career in the Pilanesberg National Park, where I developed and honed my skills while working in a truly unique landscape.

Right from the start I found a love for walking trails as I had many exciting encounters with large game, especially black rhino. During my time here I also assisted in the capturing, re-location and monitoring of lions with predator research teams, which is where my real passion for big game originated.
