Details of this Safari
Your Arrival
You will arrive in the evening and overnight in Arusha. On arrival you will be met and transferred to your hotel for the night. If you are traveling with a Private Guide, you will meet him at the airport on your arrival.
Where to from here
After a leisurely morning, connect onto a shared charter flight to Tarangire National Park where you will spend the next 3 nights. This park is situated south-east of Lake Manyara and is known for its beautiful acacia forests and game concentrations, especially elephant, along the Tarangire River.
From here, take a shared charter flight to Manyara airstrip on the western rim of the Great Rift Valley where you will be met and transferred by road to your Lake Manyara lodge. The next 2 nights can be spent enjoying the views of the Rift Valley walls and lake with its impressive birdlife, including flamingoes, while on game drives in search of the famed ‘tree-climbing’ lions.
Leave the Rift Valley behind as you climb out by road transfer from Lake Manyara to the Ngorongoro Crater. This World Heritage Site and what is often referred to as the ‘eighth natural wonder of the world’ will be home for the next 2 nights with a full-day excursion to experience the amazing wildlife spectacle on the crater floor being the highlight.
Return to the Manyara airstrip for a shared charter flight to your Serengeti National Park – an area renowned for its ‘endless plains’ and the great migration of over 1.5 million animals. Spend 2 nights in a mobile tented camp that has been strategically located to take advantage of the wildlife migration at this time of year.
Your last 2 nights of the tour will be spent in a permanent camp situated in a different part of the Serengeti National Park to maximize your chances of a great game experience due to the unpredictability of the game movements. This camp will be reached by road transfer (viewing game along the way) and will allow for a different perspective and experience of this vast ecosystem.
On the last day you will return to either Arusha or Dar es Salaam, depending on where your evening International flight home departs from. If you have been traveling with a Private Guide, he will bid you farewell at the airport.
