- 05h45 – Morning practical excursion (drive and / or walk)
- 10h45 – Return for brunch
- 11h30 – Class for theory training
- 13h30 – Afternoon break for study, relaxing
- 16h15 – Refreshments
- 16h30 – Afternoon practical excursion (drive and / or walk)
- 19h30 – Return from drive (a little earlier from walks)
- 19h45 – Dinner
- 22h00 – Lights out
WINTER (April – September)
- 06h00 – Wake up
06h30 – Quick cup of tea or coffee and some biscuits- 06h45 – Morning practical excursion (drive and / or walk)
- 11h30 – Return for brunch
- 12h15 – Class for theory training
- 14h15 – Afternoon break for study, relaxing
- 15h45 – Refreshments
- 16h00 – Afternoon practical excursion (drive and / or walk)
- 18h30 – Return from drive (a little earlier from walks)
- 19h00 – Dinner
- 22h00 – Lights out
* Note: The times above are a guideline only, and the daily programme can also be influenced by prevailing weather conditions and day-to-day course requirements in terms of lectures and practical excursions.
Typical Daily Menu
- Wake up - tea and coffee with biscuits or rusks
- Brunch – will be cereals, fruit, toast, scrambled egg, tomato, beans, bacon, 2 salads and a cooked item such as a quiche, pie, macaroni or lasagne.
- Afternoon refreshments – will be biscuits, fruit and sandwiches or similar savoury item.
- Dinner – 2 salads, bread, cooked vegetables and a cooked dish such as stew, pie, stir-fry, roast chicken, or a braai (barbeque)
* Note: Tea, coffee, water and cordials (passion fruit and orange) are available throughout the day. Soft drinks can be purchased at the camp.
* Important dietary requirements such as food allergies and lifestyle diets (vegetarian, vegan) can be catered for if we are informed in advance but our kitchen will battle to deal with very specific dietary needs such as lactose intolerance, etc. General likes and dislikes cannot be catered for.
