Details of this Safari

Your Arrival

You will arrive in Johannesburg, South Africa in the morning. On arrival you will be met and assisted with your connecting flight to the Greater Kruger National Park. If you are traveling with a Private Guide, you will meet him on your arrival.

Where to from here

The Sabi Sand Private Nature Reserve is part of the southern Greater Kruger and is where you will spend the first 3 nights of this tour, exploring this game-rich area with the help of expert Shangaan trackers. Excursions will be undertaken in open vehicles and on foot and spotlight drives to find nocturnal species are also a highlight. Optional extra off-site activities include hot air ballooning, visiting a Shangaan village and an elephant sanctuary.

Return to Johannesburg for 2 nights where you can take in visits to the Cradle of Humankind and Soweto.

Depart the following morning on a scheduled flight to Port Elizabeth in the Eastern Cape. On arrival, you will be transferred by road to the Addo Elephant National Park and stay for 2 nights experiencing the thicket biome, with vegetation that is very different to the game areas further north. As it’s name implies, the area is well-known for elephant, being home to the highest density in the world, and other special possible sightings include black rhino, aardvark and bush-pigs.

Depart early the following morning on a road transfer from Addo to the seaside town of Knysna and spend 2 nights exploring the natural splendour of this region – part of the famous Garden Route. Spend a morning in the Knysna Forests in search of signs of the elusive Knysna elephants, the southern-most naturally occurring elephants in Africa while the rest of your stay is at leisure to visit any of the many other attractions, including museums and a selection of superb shops and restaurants.

From here take a short drive to the town of George for your scheduled flight to Cape Town. You will be transferred by road to your hotel in the scenic wine country – said to be among the most beautiful wine areas in the world – east of the city for 2 nights. Visit some fantastic wine estates for tastings and create your own wine. This is South Africa’s culinary capital with some of the best restaurants in the country.

Depart the wine country with a tour through the historical village of Stellenbosch, the second oldest in the country, on your way to the Cape Town waterfront for your final 2 nights. While here, visit the historic castle, table mountain, cape point, boulders beach to see African penguins and, if time allows, Kirstenbosch botanical gardens or Robben Island.

On your last day you will be assisted with the check-in for your International departure flight home and your Private Guide will bid you farewell at the airport.

Your final two nights are spent in Cape Town and take you to the well-known sites of Table Mountain, Boulders Beach to see the African Penguin, Cape Point.

On your last day you will be assisted with the check-in for your International departure flight from Cape Town International Airport. If you have been traveling with a Private Guide, he will bid you farewell at the airport.
