Safaris to Southern Africa

E-mail Print

The countries south of the Kunene and Zambezi Rivers are generally regarded to fall within the geographical area of southern Africa. We include Zambia and Malawi for convenience because they fall in a region called south-central Africa.

The region is rich in history as well as natural and cultural diversity ensuring a host of exciting attractions for visitors:

  • the deserts and stunning scenery of Namibia;
  • the misty grasslands of the Nyika Plateau and rich fishlife of Lake Malawi;
  • the Okavango wetland and Makgadikgadi Salt Pans of Botswana;
  • Victoria Falls and canoeing / white water rafting the Zambezi in Zimbabwe;
  • undertaking a walking safari in the Luangwa Valley of Zambia;
  • superb big game viewing in the Kruger and history, breath-taking scenery and winelands of the Cape in South Africa;
  • diving, snorkeling and relaxing in idyllic tropical island settings in Mozambique

…..there is truly no limit to what visitors can experience in this southern part of the continent.

Southern Africa is a very different safari experience to East Africa and the 2 regions should not be compared, with a visit to both being highly recommended.

Embark on what could perhaps be a life-changing adventure and explore this magnificent region with us!
