Details of this Safari
Your Arrival
You will arrive in Johannesburg, South Africa in the morning. On arrival you will be met by your Private Guide and assisted with your check-in for your scheduled flight to Windhoek, Namibia.
Where to from here
On arrival in Windhoek, connect to a shared charter flight to a private concession area bordering the Namib-Naukluft Park near Sossusvlei where you will spend 2 nights exploring some of the tallest sand dunes in the world, the sesriem canyon, fairy circles and spectacular desert scenery.
Your shared charter flight from here will go the scenic route over the ‘sand sea’ on the way to the quaint and colourful seaside town of Swakopmund where, over a period of 2 nights, you can enjoy excursions such as quad-biking in the dunes, a visit to the seal colony at Cape Cross, harbour dolphin cruise and the Swakopmund Tour.
Connect onto a shared charter flight to a remote area north of here called Damaraland, famed for having the worlds largest free-roaming population of rhinos. Your 3 nights here will offer opportunities to see desert elephant and track down the desert-adapted black rhinos.
Your next stop for 2 nights, after another shared charter flight, is the remote and starkly beautiful, but aptly named, Skeleton Coast. Lichen fields, roaring dunes, whale bones and the nomadic himba people are experiences that will make this a destination to remember.,
Your final stay for 3 nights, again reached via shared charter flight, is the renowned Ongava Private Game Reserve, bordering the famous Etosha National Park. Sightings of lion and black rhino, as well as a host of other species, at the waterholes in this area are fairly common and make for superb experiences and photographic opportunities.
On your last day you will return to Windhoek on a shared charter flight and catch a scheduled flight back to Johannesburg, South Africa where you will be assisted with the check-in for your International departure flight home. Your Private Guide will then bid you farewell at the airport.
