Details of this Safari
Your Arrival
You will arrive in Johannesburg, South Africa in the morning. On arrival you will be met by your Private Guide and assisted with your check in on Air Botswana to Maun.
Where to from here
On arrival in Maun, connect to a shared charter flight to the Makgadikgadi Pans where you will spend the next 3 nights exploring the largest Salt Pans complex in the world. The area is home to unique and / or rare species such as the brown hyena and the meerkat and activities include fossil hunting, quad biking and exploratory walks with the indigenous Bushmen.
This is followed by a shared charter flight to the Central Kalahari Game Reserve (at 12 million acres, the second largest in Africa) where you will spend 2 nights unbelievable night skies while the day will be spent in search of unique desert-adapted species such as gemsbok, springbok, foxes and ground squirrels while sightings of Kalahari lion and cheetah is also a possibility.
Leave the desert behind with a shared charter flight to the Okavango Delta (World Heritage Site and the largest inland delta in the world) where the next 3 nights will be spent exploring this water wonderland and the myriad species wildlife it has to offer!
From here, another shared charter flight will take you to Linyanti – an arid, yet interesting and game-rich area of northern Botswana bordering Namibia. This will be home for 2 nights while looking for the elephant herds for which the area is renowned.
A short charter flight takes you to Kasane, the base from which to spend 2 nights exploring your final destination, the Chobe National Park and the impressive wildlife and birding opportunities that the riverfront has to offer – by boat and car!
On your last day you will undertake a road transfer through the border into Zimbabwe, and on to the nearby town of Victoria Falls where you will view the Falls on foot. Thereafter you will be transferred to Victoria Falls airport for your return flight to Johannesburg, South Africa where you will be met and assisted with check-in for your International departure flight home or for your post-safari tour extension. If you have been traveling with a Private Guide, he will bid you farewell at the airport.
